The inspiration for this picture came whilst on a trip to London and came across all the new high rise construction of the former industrial area near King’s Cross. Most people paint the finished building but I was more interested in the metal skeleton of the construction which looked so impressive it deserved a painting. The area is now complete and the Coal Drop Yard is home to upmarket boutiques, bars and trendy eateries.
