Turkey Ephesus

Whist having a holiday in Turkey we visited Ephesus in the Aegean and took many photos of the Library of Celsus. From these photos I took a close up photo showing the detailed carving high up near the top of the columns and decided it would make a nice painting. The background was painted in a few light washes and brought out the carved detail with coloured pencils.
My signature is located on the front lower right hand corner of the painting.
